How can I schedule an appointment at SHORE FOR WOMEN?
Do I need a GP referral to attend SHORE FOR WOMEN?
We prefer for women to be referred by their GP, as a valid referral allows women to claim a Medicare rebate for our services.
How long will my appointment take?
Antenatal booking consultations and 1st gynaecological appointments last 30-40 minutes, including an ultrasound scan. Follow-up gynaecology visits and routine antenatal appointments take 20 minutes. For SHORE FOR WOMEN antenatal patients, the 19-20 week visit includes the mid-trimester fetal anatomy scan and this appointment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
Is parking available near SHORE FOR WOMEN?
Yes, there are 2 large public multi-storey car parks behind our rooms, on Nicholson Street.
When is the Pregnancy Management Fee due?
We charge a Pregnancy Planning and Management Fee in 2 instalments: the 1st instalment is charged at 23-24 weeks and the 2nd instalment at 32 weeks.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are a cash-free practice and accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. We appreciate accounts being settled on the day of service.
Does SHORE FOR WOMEN bulk-bill?
No. We are a private obstetrics, gynaecology and prenatal imaging practice and we use state-of-the-art ultrasound technology. It is not possible to provide the highest standard of private care in return for the Medicare schedule fee. Women attending us for their antenatal care will have their routine consultations bulk-billed, although a Pregnancy Management Fee and fees for ultrasound scans will be charged.
