Dr. Colin Walsh has published a new article, the second in a two-part Clinical Update series he was invited to write for the Medical Observer newspaper. The article, “Acute Medical Disorders in Pregnancy,” covers a number of medical problems that are unique to pregnancy: hyperemesis, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and several rarer conditions.
Patients who develop these conditions, or who had a previous complicated pregnancy, often need the input of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to optimize their care. Dr Walsh, an MFM specialist, has a wealth of experience in managing medical disordersin pregnancy. Currently, he runs the high-risk obstetric clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital. Previously, he helped run the high-risk obstetric clinic in the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin, which is the busiest maternity hospital in Europe and a world-renowned Maternal-Fetal Medicine centre.
If you would like to make an appointment to discuss any of these conditions with Dr. Walsh, please call our office on 1300 460 111 or email email@example.com
